Galvanized motor housing
It has good protective ability, which is better than cadmium plating in industrial atmosphere. Hydrogen embrittlement occurs in steel elastic parts. Zinc is very soluble in acids or bases, and is easy to react with sulfides, so zinc is not suitable for these environments.
Chrome plated motor housing
It has good protective ability in the sea and humid atmosphere due to galvanizing. Its hydrogen embrittlement is lighter and its cost is higher than that of galvanizing.
Nickel plated motor housing
Plating on copper and copper alloy has good protective ability and high temperature resistance, but the cost is high. Nickel is a magnet, so it is not suitable to make contact protective layer on high-frequency and medium-frequency equipment.
